Volunteering
At St. Catherine Labouré School, parents are our most important partners. Your involvement makes all the difference in the education of our students. By volunteering and playing an active role in your child’s education, you enhance our school’s ability to provide a better educational environment. When we volunteer together, we foster and continue to grow this community, benefiting all of us as a whole.
All families are required to perform a minimum of 25 hours of volunteer services. Not only does this reinforce our sense of community, but it also defrays some of our operating costs. Parents unable to volunteer may opt out by paying a fee of $350.
A few volunteer opportunities might include:
All volunteers for a school program or activity who are working directly with students must sign the Archdiocese "Adults Interacting with Minors Guidelines" document, undergo a background check and complete a Virtus training course.
Volunteers serving the school should support and model the moral teachings of the Catholic Church. As adult volunteers, we are examples to our students and should conduct ourselves accordingly.
