We invite all prospective families and students interested in Fall 2024 to join us January 28, 2024 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Families will have the opportunity to learn more about our school, tour the campus, meet faculty and current families and students. More information will be available as we get closer to the event. Our goal is to provide students with a strong foundation in the beliefs and practices of their faith, challenging academics, and opportunities for service and leadership development, thus empowering students to make a positive difference in the world. Salsa Night Recap and Thanks
The SCL PTO hosted their annual “Parent’s Night Out” on November 4th. This year’s theme was “Salsa Night” and it was a night to remember!Everybody in attendance was on their feet, participating in the Salsa dance lessons provided by Gina and Arturo from @imaginadancela. The music from DJ Maya had everybody moving to the Latin beats. The food and drinks were all a hit for the group of parishioners and SCL parents. A special thank you to @continentalgourmetempanadas for the generous donation of empanadas. Many of the attendees were requesting another event to be held again this school year; what a great testament to the fun that was had. The photo booth from @nancys_photobooth had fun props and was a definite highlight of the night as well. Congratulations to our raffle winners! Among the prizes was a 50” TV, donated by Adolphus family childcare; 2 tickets to a Rams football game, donated by Gabriel Cabrera Mena, school parent; 3 days of free meal delivery service, donated by @fitme_meals and a charcuterie board gift certificate from @brieautifully_made. We look forward to having you join us for the next event.

Dia de las Muertas Ofrenda
The beginning of November marked a special day of remembrance of our loved ones with Dia de las Muertas. Our students learned about Dia de las Muertas and brought their "shoebox ofrendas and nichos" creating a beautiful and moving display. Thank you to our teachers, Mrs. Blake, Ms. King, Mr. Hernandez and Mrs. Narey for guiding this wonderful project.

Accepting applications for St. Catherine Labouré Preschool
St. Catherine Labouré Preschool was established in 2009 when the elementary school realized a growing need, not only to accommodate the younger siblings of the elementary students, but more importantly, the intrinsic value of early childhood education. Since we began, our preschool has grown, and now we have two preschool classrooms both staffed with a teacher and full time aide in each.
At SCL Preschool we provide a safe, nurturing, and loving environment to students ages 3-4. In partnership with parents, our teachers work to strengthen Catholic values and create a life-long relationship with the Church. Our preschool is licensed by the State Social Service Department of Los Angeles.

Congratulations academic decathlon team
For the fourth year in a row, SCL has taken the “First Place Overall" title at the LA Archdiocese Regional Competition (San Pedro Region). They went on to compete in the National Academic Decathlon and placed 3rd in Logic. Way to Go SCL! We are extremely proud of our hard working decathletes and our exceptional faculty, who not only teach but commit their time and talents to also coach our wonderful decathletes. We are so proud of our Trojans!
