Here at SCL, we believe that developing early reading skills is vital to long-term student success. In addition to small libraries in the classrooms, St. Catherine Labouré School has a dedicated school library that serves students in all grades, TK-8. Reading material is available in many subjects including literature, history, and science. Students visit the library every week throughout the academic year and they have the opportunity to check-out books for up to two weeks at a time.
In addition, SCL hosts an annual Scholastic Book Fair and an annual J-Club Catholic Book Fair when students may purchase books for home use. Proceeds from both events support the academic activities on campus. The J-Club book fair focuses on religious reading materials and activities for young people.
