The PTO is integrated into all areas of Saint Catherine’s school life and provides a bedrock of support upon which our school depends. Given the challenge the PTO takes on every year in support of our school, the work of volunteers is absolutely essential. All school families are automatically enrolled as members of the PTO.

The major PTO –sponsored activities are as follows:

• New Family Network/Welcome Back Picnic: New families are paired up with mentor families who help new families feel welcome and ease their transition to the school community.
• Fun-Run Walk: Students get sponsors to pledge on completed laps around the school yard.
• Ice-cream Social/ Classroom Walk: Specialty foods are on sale for families to enjoy and have a great time before they proceed to the classrooms to get a glimpse of the students’ projects. Families end the evening with a treat of ice cream, other frozen delights and entertainment.
• Pancake Breakfast/Winter Social/Ice Skating: Families get the chance to socialize and have fun together.
• Sports Awards Program: Athletes, coaches and their families are recognized for their hard work to promote sportsmanship, teamwork and bringing honor to the school.
• Mardi Gras: This is a big fun-filled event to celebrate the last day before Lent begins.
• Red Ribbon/Blue Ribbon Week: Activities support awareness and appreciation for a drug-free and safe environment.
• Adventures in Art: A fine arts program that provides opportunities for the student to create their own art pieces using various materials, methods and techniques, with the help of volunteer docents.
